Responsible AI- Principles and Practical Applications course

Using AI Responsibly…
In my last post I suggested some starting points for exploring and sating curiosity about the vast and rapidly evolving AI landscape. My first AI training recommendation is direct from LinkedIn Learning. The course Responsible AI: Principles and Practical Applications, is taught by the former Dean of Berkeley’s College of Engineering, Tsu-Jae Liu, along with Brandie Nonnecke and Jill Finlayson. For those concerned about using AI responsibly, this is a great starting point.
While this course is the final course in LinkedIn’s AI Literacy learning path, if you’ve mastered the beginning subjects or are just particularly interested in this subject, it’s a fine place to begin and taught by Berkeley’s own engineering and policy experts. The course starts off spending some time on a conceptual overview on what AI is and is not, followed by a balanced consideration of benefits and risks. For example, while acknowledging the impacts of AI on the environment, Tsu-Jae also covers how AI is being used to mitigate climate change and also reduce carbon. The course covers AI in healthcare, HR and hiring, social media and climate change.
