The Office of the CTO offers paid internship programs to undergraduate students.
The IT Product Strategy Analysts report directly to William Allison and play an integral role in technology innovation and helping define an internal product management approach for campus technology services and architecture in support of the campus IT organization. CTO Interns work on advising existing initiatives, brainstorming technology focused solutions to existing campus problems, and offering a student focused perspective on campus innovation and operations This position provides an excellent learning opportunity for all students who are interested in gaining experience for a tech product management career and is an excellent introduction to working within an IT organization and technology environment. This is a welcoming, inclusive team and does not require any prior tech experience.
The Office of the CTO is currently recruiting a new IT Product Strategy Analyst for a renewable 1-year term. IT Product Strategy Analysts are paid $20/hour and are expected to work 10-20 hours per week.

Current CTO Interns
Tara is a fourth year undergraduate at UC Berkeley where she is studying Data Science and Political Economy. She is passionate about the intersection of data and ethics and the environment. Her favorite CTO project she has worked on was the HPC usage data analysis since she was able to utilize her technical background to further understand IT usage at UC Berkeley.
Kareena is a third year undergraduate at UC Berkeley studying Business Administration and Data Science. She is particularly interested in how data analytics can be leveraged to help make business decisions, and has thoroughly enjoyed engaging with the various IT stakeholders through the IT Product Strategy Intern role. She has been able to work on the Cloud Resource Center project, interviewing and determining pain points of various Berkeley stakeholders.
